F.A.Q.

Do you take orders, or do custom pieces?

To work most efficiently, and to keep my creative juices flowing, I do not take orders or make customs. Pieces that I am inspired to make, will become available for purchase on the website that month. I love getting customers' feedback on Instagram of what they are loving and looking for, and this also helps lead me to my decisions of what to make.

Are the mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

For the most part they are both dishwasher and microwave safe, with the exception of mugs with Gold details on them.  Mugs with gold details or decals CAN NOT be microwaved, and it is recommended to hand-wash these to preserve the lustre.

Like all handmade pottery, you should avoid extreme temperature change such as pouring boiling water into a chilled mug, or putting a hot mug into extreme cold.

Where do you ship to?

I ship with in Canada, and now also the United States

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated at check out. It will vary depending on province. Ontario is generally around $15. Northern Ontario and other provinces can range from $18 - $28.  I haven't shipped the the United States often enough to give an average.

Is my item held for me once I have it in my cart?

Like most websites, Shopify does not have a hold on products in the cart, so until you have fully processed the transaction, the item in your cart is not guaranteed. To increase the speed of your check out, create an account by clicking the little person icon at the top right of the home page, and add in your information ahead of the product drop, and be signed in before the pieces go live. You can also cash out quickly with payment types listed at the bottom such as apple pay, or paypal.

If I purchase multiple pieces separately, is it twice the shipping?

If you order two or more mugs separately, on the same restock, I can package the pieces together, and refund you the extra shipping.

If I am local, can I avoid shipping?

Yes! There are three pick-up spots local to me that you can choose to pick up at for free. Markets Ontario Bowmanville location, or The Makers Hub Whitby location. Check my pick-up location page for exact locations and details.

How often do you restock the website?

I will be aiming to restock approx. every four weeks.

What do I do if my item(s) arrive broken?

If an item arrives broken, please contact me the day it arrives to go over options. Ceramics are breakable and need to be handled as such. Getting in contact with me the day of arrival avoids any suspicion of "user fault" in handling the piece.  Please send pictures of it with the box and packing as well, as that is needed for package insurance claims.

What if my items arrives and I don't like it?

I do not do refunds or exchanges unless a piece is broken. I try to provide accurate photos, with several angles of each item to avoid this. That being said, all items are handmade and subject to imperfections as a result. These are not factory made, mass produced items. If you're looking for perfection, handmade pottery may not be for you.

How long does it take to ship?

Currently, as I'm only shipping within Canada, shipping is generally pretty quick. Items will be shipped 1-2 days after purchase, and from there it depends on how far it needs to travel beyond the Greater Toronto Area.

Shipping with the USPS is new to me, so I'm unable to give estimates for items shipping to the States.

Other info:

Each item is made by yours truly at the pottery wheel and is unique. Each item is fired in a kiln at least twice (if not three times for special items). No two items are exactly the same.

Measurements given are approximate given the nature of the process.

With that in mind, handmade pottery is not for everyone. Some find beauty in the uniqueness and slight imperfections, others do not and that's totally understandable. In that case, handmade ceramics may not be your cup of tea ( or coffee! ).
